Ecology of Gowanus

Gowanus is a neighborhood currently emblematic of many of the challenges facing NYC. Rapid development, changing demographics and gentrification, and an uncertain future given climate change and the urban ecology of the neighborhood.

It also happens to where both Amp Club and Studio Rodrigo are currently located!

Amp Club joined a tour crafted by environmental science and policy PhD student Steve Koller and Gowanus Dredgers to help us better understand our immediate environment. We highly recommend taking that tour!

But if you can’t make it, or just want to get prepared for your tour, we gathered some quick videos and articles we found to help better understand Gowanus.
